Couples and Individuals

Finding you the right financial solutions for an easier divorce.

Why You Need A CDFA®

The divorce process can be long, stressful and uncertain. Not to mention, it can be difficult to make rational choices in the midst of a highly emotional situation.

Sound Divorce Solutions is your financial advocate as you go through our easy 5 step divorce process. We will work with you to ensure that you have the information you need to make smart decisions. We’ll also handle all of the analysis and reporting so that you are well prepared when you meet with your attorney.

It’s important to understand that an attorney’s job is simply to prepare and file legal documents and present your case. He or she is not a financial expert, but may advise you to consult an expert to answer your financial questions.

We Are Financial Experts

We answer questions that most attorneys won’t. Questions like; “Are there other options than wasting money on a long and protracted court battle? How will my settlement impact my financial health in the long-term? Will I have to pay spousal maintenance and what is fair to both of us? Do I have to sell the house or are there options?” Let us answer these and many more questions and lessen the stress of divorce.

Protect Your Assets

Working with a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA®) can help protect your assets during the divorce process. We will give you and your attorney the information and leverage you need to negotiate with your spouse’s attorney. We’ll help to eliminate any uncertainties around the outcomes of divorce. Most importantly, we help you begin the next phase of your life with a positive outlook.

Neutral Resource for Divorcing Couples

We serve as a neutral resource for amicable divorcing couples who agree that divorce is the next step. Sound Divorce Solutions will work on any joint assets—such as investments, retirement accounts, pensions, businesses, and rental properties—to assist in separating them sensibly and fairly. We show you what your settlement looks like now, and what it means for both of you ten or twenty years down the line.

Same Sex Divorce

While we celebrate the right to marry, it is important to understand that marriages do not always last. If you are part of a same-sex marriage and no longer wish to continue the relationship, we can help you structure a sound settlement solution. At Sound Divorce Solutions we understand that equality was hard-won for Pennsylvania’s LGBT community. Our goal is to give you the options to create a more amicable divorce that saves you time and money.
